Slab Tile Adhesive – Applications and Technical Data

Applications:

Slab tile adhesive is suitable for the following uses:

• Installing large-format porcelain tiles on interior and exterior surfaces

• Fixing porcelain tiles, ceramic tiles, and natural stones (with clip or locking systems)

• Tiling floors in wet areas

• Suitable for walls in bathrooms, kitchens, toilets, and other humid spaces

• Applicable for façades and high-rise exterior installations

• Compatible with concrete, gypsum, brick, and autoclaved aerated concrete (AAC) surfaces

• Excellent performance for installing large-format slabs and stones

• Can be used on concrete surfaces and previously tiled substrates

• Suitable for underfloor heating systems

• Ideal for bonding natural stone to specialty substrates

Technical Specifications:

• Color: White or grey

• Compressive strength: Minimum 9 MPa

• Pot life: Approximately 45 minutes at 20°C

• Initial setting time: Around 24 hours

• Final curing time: About 7 days

• Note: Surface corrections must be made within the pot life

Instructions for Use

Substrate Preparation:

• The surface must be clean, dry, and free of dust, grease, oil, or contaminants

• It should be solid, level, and stable to ensure optimal adhesion

• Slight moistening of the substrate is recommended if necessary

Mixing:

• Mix a specified amount of powder with clean water (approx. 25% by weight)

• Use a mechanical mixer to obtain a homogeneous and lump-free blend

• Allow the mixture to rest for 5 minutes, then remix before use

• Use the prepared mixture immediately

Application:

• Apply the adhesive with a notched trowel onto the prepared substrate

• Firmly press and level the slab or stone onto the adhesive layer

• Ensure proper alignment during installation and remove excess adhesive promptly

Maximum Pot Life:

The ready-mixed adhesive should be used within 45 minutes at 20°C (this time may vary depending on ambient temperature and environmental conditions)

Coverage:

Using a 6 mm notched trowel, the adhesive consumption is approximately 6 to 8 kg per square meter

Warnings – Do Not Use If:

• The ambient temperature is below 5°C

• The area is exposed to high humidity or rain during application

• The substrate is frozen, greasy, oily, or contaminated

• Direct contact with skin or eyes should be avoided

• Individuals with respiratory issues should use a protective mask

• Store in a dry, covered location as per manufacturer’s instructions
