Shotcrete Surface Basecoat Plaster

Product Description:

This basecoat is specially formulated for application over treated surfaces such as shotcrete, reinforced rebar meshes, and other uneven or rough substrates.

Applications:

• Base plaster for shotcrete surfaces

• Surface preparation prior to painting or coating

• Filling surface cracks and irregularities in shotcrete

Technical Specifications:

• Color: Grey

• Compressive strength: Minimum 20 MPa

• Tensile strength: Minimum 4 MPa

• Initial setting time: Approximately 30 minutes at 20°C

• Final setting time: Approximately 24 hours

• Density: Approx. 1.8 g/cm³

• Chemical base: Cement-based powder modified with performance additives

Instructions for Use:

Surface Preparation:

• The substrate must be clean and free of dust, oil, and other contaminants

• Application must be done with appropriate tools

Mixing:

• Mix the dry mortar with clean water at approximately 20% by weight

• Use a mechanical mixer to obtain a smooth and homogeneous mixture

Application:

• Apply the prepared basecoat to the shotcrete surface using a trowel

• Level the surface to create a uniform layer

Maximum Working Time:

• The prepared mixture should be used within 45 minutes at 20°C (varies with temperature and environment)

Consumption:

• Typically between 15 to 20 kg per square meter for every 1 cm layer thickness

Warnings – Do Not Use In:

• Temperatures below 5°C

• High-humidity or wet environments
