Product Description:

This system is a modern solution for the seismic restraint of non-structural walls in buildings.

In this method, an alkali-resistant fiberglass mesh is applied over the wall (with or without shotcrete), followed by a layer of mineral plaster. As part of the family of non-structural restraint systems for brittle elements such as block or brick walls, this method performs similarly to Fabric-Reinforced Cementitious Matrix (FRCM) systems, which are referenced in U.S. seismic codes (e.g., ACAIQ). This plaster system can serve as an alternative to traditional wall post (wall-pier) techniques in seismic reinforcement.

Installation Steps:

1. Prepare the base cementitious plaster by mixing W8 or W9 gypsum plaster at a 1:2 ratio.

2. Use a mechanical mixer to create a homogeneous mortar and apply it onto the block or masonry wall.

3. Lay the fiberglass mesh over the surface and embed it fully into the plaster layer.

4. If necessary, apply a second layer of plaster with a specified thickness.
