AAC Block Adhesive – Applications and Technical Specifications

Applications:

This cement-based adhesive is specifically formulated for:

• Installing AAC blocks (Autoclaved Aerated Concrete blocks)

• Construction of load-bearing and non-load-bearing walls

Technical Specifications:

• Color: Grey or white

• Compressive Strength: Minimum 6 MPa

• Pot Life: Approximately 30 minutes at 25°C

• Initial Drying Time: Around 24 hours

• Final Curing Time: Approximately 7 days

• Note: Surface adjustments must be made during the pot life only

Instructions for Use

Substrate Preparation:

• Block surfaces must be clean, dry, and free from dust, oil, or any contaminants

• If needed, lightly moisten the surface before application

Mixing:

• Mix the specified amount of adhesive powder with clean water (approx. 25% by weight)

• Use a mechanical mixer to achieve a uniform, lump-free consistency

• Let the mixture rest for 5 minutes, then remix before use

Application:

• Apply the adhesive to the block surface using a notched trowel

• Place the blocks in position and apply even pressure

• Carefully adjust spacing and alignment between blocks

Maximum Pot Life:

Use the prepared adhesive within 30 minutes at 25°C
(This may vary depending on temperature and environmental conditions)

Coverage:

For 3–5 mm thick adhesive layers in AAC block walling, typical usage is approximately 7–15 kg per square meter, depending on surface conditions

Warnings – Do Not Use If:

• Ambient temperature is below 5°C

• Environment is highly humid or exposed to rain during application

• Substrates are frozen, oily, or contaminated

• Avoid contact with skin and eyes

• Use a protective mask if you have respiratory issues

• Store in a dry, covered area according to manufacturer’s instructions
