Product Description:

This basecoat plaster is specifically formulated for application on AAC (Autoclaved Aerated Concrete) blocks to serve as a preparatory layer before gypsum plastering or any other final coating.

Applications:

• Surface preparation for AAC blocks

• Enhancing adhesion of gypsum plaster on AAC substrates

• Reducing water absorption from the final plaster

• Preventing surface cracks caused by sudden water absorption

• Suitable for porous and lightweight substrates such as AAC, cement blocks, LECA blocks, and clay bricks

Technical Specifications:

• Color: White to light grey

• Compressive strength: Minimum 10 MPa

• Initial setting time: Approximately 40 minutes at 20°C

• Final setting time: Approximately 24 hours

• Maximum particle size: Less than 1 mm

• Suitable for precast lightweight walls, AAC panels, clay, or cement blocks

Instructions for Use:

Surface Preparation:

• AAC block surfaces must be clean, free of dust, oil, and other contaminants

• Lightly moisten the surface before application

Mixing:

• Mix the dry mortar powder with clean water at approximately 40% by weight

• Use a mechanical mixer to achieve a smooth and uniform consistency

Application:

• Apply the prepared basecoat to the block surface using a trowel

• Level the surface to form a smooth, even layer

• After drying, the surface will be ready for gypsum plaster or spray-applied finishes

Maximum Working Time:

The maximum pot life of the prepared mixture is 60 minutes at 20°C (may vary depending on ambient temperature and humidity)

Consumption:

Typically 30 to 35 kg per square meter for standard basecoat thickness

Warnings – Do Not Use In:

• Temperatures below 5°C

• Highly humid or wet environments
